Surfing Santas

Surfing Santas started humbly on December 23rd 2009 when George Trosset called up his son and said “ I need you and your wife to be at the beach house tomorrow morning, in Elf outfits… I’m gonna be Santa and your gonna be Elves, and we’re going SURFING.” The local paper snapped a picture of the surfing family and the next year some of Geroge’s friends joined his family in their now traditional Christmas Eve Morning surf. Since then the Santas have multiplied like Easter Bunnies. Nowadays over 1000 surfers dressed like Santa and over 10,000 spectators (most also dressed like Santa) join George and his family in Cocoa Beach Florida for sun, surf and merriment. Surfing Santas has become a full on festival of fun that includes everything you could ever want from a Christmas Eve Day Beach Party. There’s hula dancers, a surf band, a costume contest and a sea full of Santas.
