About Your Hosts

Born Yankees, but Southern by the Grace of Parents,  Kim Drobes and Ted Ladue became friends over 20 years ago through a mutual obsession with ping-pong. Kim has a deep love of audio storytelling and has enjoyed a long career in radio broadcasting (senior Producer for WABE 90.1 NPR/Atlanta’s, City Lights, and executive producer of the Helpful Humans Podcast). Ted has a history of participating in insanely unusual sports like Mountainboarding and Aquaplaning. Ted splits his time between Salida, Colorado, and Atlanta, Georgia and he happens to have a magical adventure wonderland in the backyard of his Atlanta home. Maybe one day he’ll invite you over.

They both share a love of talking to strangers, traveling, and seeking out the odd and unusual corners of society.  That is where the magic happens.
